Peltier elements (thermoelectric coolers) in combination with the flexible TEC controllers from Meerstetter Engineering allow the realization of countless applications like temperature control, cooling of optical and electronic objects or temperature cycling of biological samples and assays.
These thermal systems are characterized by the following features:
- heating and cooling (bipolar current)
- precise temperature control: 0.01 °C or better
- -50 °C to 200 °C object temperature range
- stand-alone operation or integration into a system
- temperature cycling / ramp function
- small dimensions – Peltier elements from 1 mm x 1 mm up to 60 mm x 60 mm x 4 mm
- no mechanical moving parts and no noise, except fan (optional)
A careful thermal design is crucial for the successful operation of the application.
